Overview - Ace Hotel New York
Ace Hotel New York is conveniently situated in the NoMad neighborhood, a historical district in midtown Manhattan immediately north of the Flatiron District and Madison Square Park. With convenient access to both uptown and downtown, the theater district, the East Side and Brooklyn, the Ace Hotel offers an ideal New York location. Ace Hotel New York is also a few blocks from Madison Square Garden, Times Square, and the Empire State Building. The first East Coast outpost of the Seattle-based hipster hotel brand, the Ace has Roman and Williams-designed rooms that feel like cool apartments.Guestrooms and Lofts are replete with all of the amenities one would expect from an upscale hotel. Custom-designed furnishings and re-appropriated materials create elegantly simple accommodations. Rooms feature beds adorned with Mascioni sheets, custom Wings and Horns bathrobes, and complimentary high speed wireless internet access, providing the comfort of a hotel but in many rooms, Gibson Guitars, music hall turn tables, and full-size SMEG refrigerators stocked with treats, give the feeling of a friend's cool apartment.
Beyond offering affordable comfort and style, Ace Hotels distinguish themselves by integrating into the culture of their home city. This property embraces a deep history of art, music and design that speaks to New York originality. The Ace Hotels' perspective on NYC style even shows up in their staff uniforms, compiled from iconic New York staples and thoughtful designer collaborations. Standard issue footwear is either green monochrome Chucks created by Converse exclusively for the Ace Hotel or classic black Doc Marten's embossed with a skeleton key. Jeans are by Levi's and Newark-based L. Gambert created custom fitted shirts. L. Gambert also created the housekeeping uniform, a utilitarian shirt-dress. The vintage Glen-check Coto tie and blackened silver Surface 2 Air tie chain complete the look.
