The Mark opened in 1927 and was designed by Schwartz & Gross, the preeminent architects of their time, specializing in luxury hotels and residential buildings. The Mark is located in the Upper East Side on 77th Street between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue, and has become a landmark of New York City culture. This fifteen-story building is now home to one hundred eighteen hotel rooms and forty-two extraordinary suites.
