From the minute we entered the hotel, we were treated so well. The gentleman that checked us in was so kind to Isabela - he gave her the royal Eloise treatment! It was at this time we learned our room had been upgraded to a suite, UNBELIEVABLE! Isabela was over the moon! The Plaza extravaganza did not end here, the suite was exquisite - 14th floor overlooking the courtyard - with doors to a balcony! At check-in, we were also informed that guests of The Plaza had use of the Rolls Royce within a ten block radius of the hotel. On Friday morning, Isabela and I rode in style to the American Girl store for her lunch at the AM Cafe. Her joy was palpable! In fact, she said this trip was even better than her dream to go to Disney World! High praise from a seven-year-old who has talked only of wanting to plan a trip to Disney. Thanks to you, and Magellan Vacations, Isabela's dreams came true. We could not have asked for a more magical experience. I have shared these details with anyone who will listen, family, friends, and co-workers! I will surely give them your direct number should any of them be planning a trip. First, I must say that I was not sure about utilizing your service since it was unknown to me, but frankly I was forced into it because the New York Palaces weekend-priced rooms were booked (the hotel of choice for me when Im in NYC).

Second, the professional way you handled my call and helped me through the reservations process was a highlight of my experience. It made me comfortable about proceeding to lock this in. This was the best part you described the accommodations at The Benjamin to me on the phone which further made me comfortable, and when I arrived at the hotel with my 84 year old parents, it was as you described (something that does not always happen with unknown services). Thank you for that!

I think my first experience with the Palace was somewhat chaotic - its a busy place and you can get lost in the shuffle, but in the end, I had a nice room with the view of St. Patricks and I enjoyed the luxury. Nevertheless, the Palace has no balcony (which my parents and I really enjoyed at The Benjamin) and while I would not necessarily call The Benjamin luxurious, it is quite upscale, boutique-like and homey - particularly because of the great room (#2203) we had with a kitchen, walk-in closet, etc. (They did have one of the two elevators down which made for long waits in the lobby and the restaurant is under renovation for several months so we went elsewhere to dine.)

Otherwise, will I work with you again for my next trip to NYC, and even consider another stay at The Benjamin? YES - especially if there is a balcony room available! If you send me a list of your hotels or direct me where I can get a sense of your listings in London, Berlin, Munich and Rome, I will certainly consider utilizing you for my occasional trips abroad. "We had an amazing time in NYC. The Loews was great. Our room was big, clean, large bathroom (NYC standards). I would stay there again. The price was amazing and loved the 'old New York' feel the hotel had. Hallways need revamping but the room made up for that.

I am sorry it took a few days to write back, but I think I was still trying to find my jaw to pick it up off the floor. That is how good it was. HOLY COW!

I will start from the airport. I had the hotel arrange a car service someone they recommended highly pick me up from LGA and it was smooooooth. I walked off the plane, down to baggage, saw my name on the sign held by a pleasant woman, she radioed to the driver, we walked outside, and presto, I was on my way to the Mandarin. I stepped out of the car and my bags were taken out of my hands by the handsome doorman Pablo, I think and up the elevator I went. The front desk people recognize me and welcome me back and I am jumping up and down like a little kid. I am sad when I find out that Lily has been moved from the front desk to Human Resources, but she has left word to make sure I am taken care of and the girls at the desk say, You have US now. We will take care of you from now on. and I felt great about it. Daniel, my favorite concierge was off for the weekend for his birthday. Boo! But, again, not a deal breaker. I get up to my room and it is breathtaking. I have a view of Central Park and a chaise lounge that spans the entire window. I sat for all of 5 minutes...

I had a pedicure in the spa to get to. The spa is absolutely insane. INSANE, I TELL YOU! The staff was courteous, but not stuffy. My service was relaxing and I would have stayed there all day if I did not have to go to my meeting. When I came back to the room there was a beautiful tray of chocolate covered strawberries waiting for me. There were two plates, but I ate the whole darn thing myself. Shhhh, do not tell. There was a gorgeous fruit basket. Seriously! I took a picture of it and sent it to my husband and said, This was waiting for me when I came back to the room. An hour later he sent a picture to me of a peanut butter sandwich sitting on a plate with a drink next to it saying thats what was waiting for him. HA!

One of my girlfriends came to pick me up for dinner and she said, I love it when you stay here. I feel pampered and taken care of and I am not even a guest. I slept like a log that night and was out the whole day the next day. When I came back after a very emotional goodbye to all of the girls, there was a perfectly chilled bottle of champagne and a cheese tray with all the goodies. I started to cry. Thank God I was alone because you would have thought I was some kind of lunatic, but it was just so perfect. How did they know exactly when I would be back How did they know this was the most comforting food to end my night I am not a drinker and I was alone picture me crying, drinking, eating cheese. Its ridiculous, right, so I did not enjoy the champagne, but the thought was just amazing. Next morning I finally got to enjoy room service. Everything was exactly how I wanted it. What could make it better you ask I know I have asked for George Clooney in the past to show up, but I did the next best thing...I ordered Law Abiding Citizen starring Gerard Butler. You know the guy from the movie 300 with the abs! So no matter where my eyes looked, I was surrounded by beauty. Central park, gorgeous room, spacious bathroom, and Gerard Butler. Life is good.

All in all, would I say my last official trip to NYC was full of the shameless pampering that can only be experienced at the Mandarin Oriental and it was a tremendous success! I am ruined, completely ruined for any other hotel to even come close to the star-quality treatment that is consistently given to me with every stay at this hotel. I am grateful for you and your ability to know how to meet your clients needs so well. I am grateful for the Mandarin for giving me some of the best memories of the last two years that leave my girlfriends still buzzing about how freakin cool it was!! And I am ever so grateful for the blessed life I lead and how it has led me to all of this. Now I am going to go put my ragamuffins to bed and get ready for bed. I keep trying to get my husband to do a, turn-down, service, but heis just not getting it right.

"I can not express how much I have loved the Magellan experience. Let me get a few salient points in, but only after I mention I have given Sandras email address to a number of colleagues and clients with a glowing recommendation.

So here are a few of the greatest hits

Price. Let me be honest, this is a cost of entry and you guys rarely disappoint. The prices are great and I do not spend any energy comparison shopping as I trust you bring me the best. If I do not end up booking it is only because my plans change, not because I have gone with someone else.

Service. I rarely wait more than an hour to get a quote. I email night and day and someone is always covering Sandras email or phone. I feel like I have a personal travel agent. Period.

Patience. I am probably at 3 -1 for quotes versus bookings, and I never feel I am putting the team out. I know I am far from your biggest client, heck I have to be in the bottom 10 percent, but I feel like a VIP every time I email or call.

And, as usual the Gansevoort was a great time and excellent service. Bar was a little dead, but I can not blame you guys for that!

As Long Islanders, a hop into the city is easy enough to do, but the choice in hotels is often daunting, even for a travel writer. Price is always a consideration since these kinds of breaks are not vacations for us, and the hotel should be nice enough to warrant a stay otherwise, why not hop the LIRR home

60 Thompson was very hip and we felt like we were very much in the know by choosing this location for our overnight.

We were immediately upgraded to a King size suite with separate living room, a balcony that opened up and we could step out on, and more space that we would imagine for our money. We would definitely go back, and we recommended both the website and the hotel to many of our clients at our Long Island owned gym.

As far as hotels and properties becoming a part of Magellan Vacations inventory, I felt the level of service alone warranted the partnership. For hotels it is an excellent way to have your property gain exposure through both an excellent booking intermediary and the best source of marketing, word of mouth. Savvy enough travelers would never pay rack, so why let the room go empty We not only have recommended the hotel and service to our friends, but my incoming travel business colleagues.

We will be watching to see when Magellan Vacations goes international."

The Alex was a wonderful place for us. The location is great, a 2 block walk to Grand Central and the subways, and a great market a few hundred feet away from the front door. They upgraded us from a studio to a bedroom with living room, the staff is friendly and very helpful, the room was clean and well decorated, and we had a terrific view a corner on the 30th floor. The computers in the business center were really useful a couple of times, and the workout room is large, lots of equipment, essentially new-looking. The next time we do a splurge trip to New York the Alex will be at the top of the list. We have never spent this much for a hotel room not in this country, not in Paris, or Vienna, or Munich..., but then again we have never spent Christmas week and New Years day in New York.

So were there any negatives Yes, and totally trivial. One of our phones was not working when we arrived, the ice maker in the freezer did not work, and a manager had to reset the in-room safe. Their response to requests to have things like this taken care of was always courteous and fast and efficient.

And a word about Magellan itself I can not remember the name of the woman who spent over an hour on the phone with me helping me select and book a hotel, but I still remember her enthusiastic voice, depth of knowledge, and willingness to listen to our needs and come up with a great answer. Ed and I had a wonderful time in NYC... I can not begin to say enough about how friendly and accommodating the staff at the Ritz-Carlton, Battery Park were. Everyone, from the doormen, to the Concierge, to the floor staff...EVERYONE... went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I felt spoiled and pampered the entire time we were there.

We decided not to brave the weather rainy or the crowds crazy on New Years Eve, but opted to celebrate at the Harbor View Restaurant Pier 17 where we enjoyed a good meal and a great view of the Brooklyn Bridge from our table without breaking the bank, at that!!! The crowd in a festive mood and the DJ did a fine job of keeping patrons out on the dance floor. I believe a good time was had by all.

So, just to let you know, I have checked off NYC for New Years Eve on my bucket list of items and am trying to figure out which one I should tackle next. Just wanted you to know that when it involves traveling, I will be sure to contact you for assistance. Australia is on my list, so who knows!

Thanks for your email and inquiry as to how things went in NYC at the Crown Plaza.We had a fabulous time in NYC!

Our room was lovely, on the 44th floor, very comfortable and nicely appointed. Loved having the use of the concierge floor 46th. The offerings of snacks, cheese and fruit, etc. were generous. They even had a bar if one wanted to purchase wine,etc. The breakfast was also bountiful croissants, muffins, bagels, coffee, tea, juices, cereal, etc. The view from the 46th floor was amazing.

The fitness center was great. 50ft. lap pool, steam sauna and a huge selection of exercise equipment.Everyone we met who worked at the hotel was friendly and professional.

Thank you so much for your patience with me on the phone. In these times of automated and computerized services your human voice and friendliness made a huge difference. It felt like personalized service and you seemed to genuinely care about what kind of experience we would have.

My two children traveled from Harrisburg PA to New York during the Christmas Holidays. Such a warm welcome by the staff at Crowne Plaza Time Square, and the accomodation were awesome. The king bed WAS large enough for three one adult and two children. I would highly recommend Magellan Vactions on all of my travels. You will never know how surprised and delighted/appreciative my daughter and I were when we arrived at the Mansfield Saturday night. It was beautiful! We walked in and Joanna at the front desk said, Welcome to the Madison Mrs. Walker and Ms. Walker! We could not have been more impressed. It was the beginning of a wonderful five night stay. She upgraded us to a beautiful room...it was first class. My daughter is allergic to feathers so they found a pillow for her without down. The staff was friendly and professional the entire time. The breakfasts in the dining room were gourmet...no waiting in a buffet line to make your own waffle. We enjoyed first class service...linen tablecloths, china, and wonderful food...poached eggs in whole tomatoes...Greek yogurt and berries, etc. They ordered a car and driver for us to enable us to catch a flight on Thanksgiving Day so that we could catch part of the parade and our flight. I forgot my wallet in the safe and they were curbside waiting for us when we returned with my wallet. Our favorite spot was the beautiful library...every evening after the show, we would relax by the fire and visit and relive our day. It was magical. The espresso bar was awesome...we enjoyed it every morning and evening.

We went to Mama Mia, Billy Elliott, The Rockettes Christmas Spectacular which is still my favorite show EVER with the encore being the live nativity with real camels, etc., and Madame Touseaus museum. We took the Statue of Liberty tour and the double Decker bus tour which were both great. We attended mass at St. Patricks cathedral our first morning which was very beautiful. Our last evening was magical...we watched the balloons being inflated for the parade and then enjoyed dinner together at Tavern on the Green in the Crystal Room. We were very sad to discover that the restaurant is closing on the last day of this year. It was beautiful. We enjoyed Central Park and of course much shopping!

It was truly a dream vacation, thanks to you encouraging me to try the Mansfield. Our last evening in town, we left Tavern on the Green and walked over to the Park Savoy to see what it was like. We gasped. It looked like an abandoned hotel in an alley with construction everywhere. We were so thankful that you recommended the Mansfield. We would not have been as safe or pampered or happy at the place I had originally reserved.

Thank you Abby so very much. Please tell your supervisors how much we appreciate your help. You were so fun to talk to. It is only because I sensed that I could trust you that I took your recommendation and spent 60 more than I had planned...it was worth so much more than what it cost. My husband and I just returned from our trip to New York and our stay at Ink48. I just want to thank you for putting this together for us, we were extremely pleased with our stay at Ink48.

The hotel is not quite complete yet. The exterior is covered with scaffholding and no restaurants or bars are yet open in the hotel. None of this bothered us at all, although I suppose others might care. At least while we were there, the hotel tries to offset the absence of restaurants/bars by including a complimentary continental breakfast and complimentary wine hour in the evening. Although the continental breakfast was not at all memorable, that it was offered was appreciated. And the complimentary evening wine was a nice touch.

The room was small but definitely adequate. I especially liked that everything was new and fresh. Contrary to my initial concerns, we were not put off by the 11th Avenue location in the least. That area has changed sufficiently over the years and now is no problem at all. In fact, we enjoyed being able to walk easily both to Times Square and to Lincoln Center, being outside major congestion was also a plus.

My thoughts would not be complete without also touching on the staff at Ink48 they could not have been more accommodating.

You spent a good deal of time on the phone with me when I first made inquiry about a hotel. Because of your patience in listening to what was important to us, you found a near perfect fit at an extremely advantageous price. I want you to know how successful your efforts were and how very much they were appreciated.

We had a fantastic trip. We had the most distgustingly delicious sandwiches at the Carnegie Deli. They were HUGE!! We went to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and had a lot of fun and took a lot of fun photos. We had been to the one in London 10 years ago and thought we would get to see the new people! We mostly went to visit our daughter, Lisa, and her husband, Ian. Lisa is a stylist at Mizu Salon on Park Ave. If you ever want a great haircut and be treated like royalty, give Lisa a call! The Hilton was awesome. It was very clean and the room was very good size. The bed was devine!!! We slept like babies. Check in was quick, despite being very busy. Check out was making a phone call and leaving the keys in the room. The hotel was in walking distance of Rockerfeller Center, Radio City, Broadway, St. Patricks and more! It was perfect for us. Do not tell anyone - ha ha! . . . we want to be able to book easily again.

Everything was great!

It is always a great experience when an impulsive, last minute preparation like this greatly exceeds expectations. Of course, NYC being what it is deserves some credit too.

We were very pleased with Smyth Tribeca and its friendly, courteous, staff. The hotels decor and cleanliness were nice treats too. Yes, the frosted glass wall in our room and the rooms other features were all very nice luxuries.

We really enjoyed the locale. Upon arriving, we quickly surveyed the local restaurants and enjoyed a couple glasses wine to begin celebrating our anniversary and trip. Then, we consulted with Smyths concierge for recommendations among the small set that established which narrowed down to dining at Restaurant Marc Forgione. This too turned to be another great last minute preparation. The food, staff, and dcor were all excellent.

Another nice treat for us was that the subway entrance was just feet away from Smyths entrance. Since we travelled the entire trip using just rail transportation, this was a nice unexpected convenience. The play was quite enjoyable. I grew up listening to hours of Four Seasons tunes while riding along in my fathers trunk when he picked up fresh and frozen fish at NYCs docks, fish markets, and cold storages throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn during the mid-1960s. That is bygone era long ago when the Seaport was something much, much different. So, it was quite enjoyable as it was entertaining and somewhat of a history lesson as well.

After check out, we finished the trip by walking back to Penn Station and strolling around Soho and the Village along the way.

As you now know, you have to appreciate yourself as much as we both do for enhancing our weekend stay beyond expectations. I intend to certainly consult with Magellan Vacations in the future. After our return, my wife, Marlene browsed are the web and was quite amazed at the lodging price that you arranged for us.
