"I was so eager to receive a survey allowing me to rate both Magellan Vacations and the Pierre Hotel in New York City! My husband and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary last week and chose to visit New York. I began researching hotels in the city and came across all of the superb reviews written about the Pierre Hotel. We booked our room through Magellan Vacations with the help of a Magellan vacation specialist. Sandra Schmidtke was amazing from the first time we spoke on the phone right through the booking process. She was able to personally recommend this hotel, created a file for my husband and I with our information, requests etc... and followed through on every detail of our stay.

My husband and I have traveled extensively and have stayed in many lovely hotels over the years. I mention this simply to bring the necessary context to this review. To date, none can measure up to to the Pierre hotel. The room was gorgeous and spacious and had every amenity imaginable. The service at the Pierre was dazzling! I'm sure this comment block cannot accommodate the number of words needed to describe the extraordinary service, warmth and overall responsiveness of the staff at the Pierre. We arrived at 10 am and requested an early check in. The receptionist was very accommodating, showed us to our room and thanked us for choosing the Pierre. When we returned to our room that evening, we had a bottle of champagne on ice and a cake beautifully decorated with Happy Anniversary. Along with these treats was a hand written congratulatory card! The next night, our room was covered in rose petals leading from the door to the bed where a huge heart of rose petals welcomed us home.

If you are planning a trip to New York City and would like to stay in a five star hotel that deserves six stars, the Pierre is the place to go .. also, be sure to book through Magellan! "

When we arrived at our room the view was not what I had expected so I called the front desk and they were awesome, sent someone right up with a new room with an amazing view of the city. The staff was fantastic very accommodating in every way possible. I will stay at the Eventi the next time I visit New York...
