The Surrey hotel, located on 76th at Madison Avenue, is a luxury New York hotel that is redefining excellence in Upper East Side hotels. One of the unique features of The Surrey is that it pays homage to the surrounding city with poetry and quotations displayed throughout, found on seat cushions, lounge carpets and various accent walls.

The hotel offers 190 elegant guest salons and suites, many with fireplaces, private terraces and small kitchens. Two specialty suites, the Presidential and the Penthouse, are exceptional choices for the most discriminating guest. Hand-painted armoires, black lacquer desks with vanity compartments, oversized armchairs and walnut cabinetry give each of the hotel's salons and suites a unique sophistication that goes well beyond typical luxury accommodations.

Beyond the salons and suites, a myriad of luxuries await including the Spa at The Surrey, the famed Café Boulud serving breakfast, lunch and dinner just off the lobby, and the Michelin star-rated restaurant Bar Pleiades. Perched peacefully on the 17th floor overlooking the Upper East Side and Central Park, the Private Rooftop Garden at The Surrey hotel is a true oasis. A tranquil, elegant setting for relaxing or for business entertaining, the garden also features exclusive service from Café Boulud for beverages, light meals and anything else you may require.

• Guests must present a valid credit card upon check-in to cover incidental charges and the security deposit. At check-in the hotel will run an authorization on your card in the amount of approximately $200.00 per night booked. While this amount is not actually charged to your card, you should consider that amount non-accessible until after departure. The authorized hold will be released 5 to 10 days after check-out, provided there is no damage, missing inventory, room charges, or excessive cleaning required.
• Please note that if the owner of the credit card we have on file will not be present at check in, the person checking in at the hotel will need to provide their own credit card. If you need to make arrangements to prepay your stay (either for yourself or for someone else), please contact us immediately and we will forward you a Credit Card Authorization Form as hotels usually require a minimum of 7 days processing time.
